Reservation Policies

Quiet Hours & Curfew

  • 10:30 PM – 8:00 AM Daily. Quiet hours are strictly enforced and observed. Violators will be removed from the campground at the discretion of management.
  • A 10:30 PM curfew for children under the age of 18 is strictly enforced unless accompanied by an adult. If unaccompanied, children under of the age of 18 must remain at their respective campsite after 10:30 PM.
  • Children under 12 must be supervised by an adult at all times.

Speed Limit

5 MPH AT ALL TIMES! You are expected to be alert and courteous while driving within the campground. Violators will be removed from the campground at the discretion of management.

Bicycles

Any person riding after dark must ride with a light that is capable of illuminating their path.

Tents

Tents are only allowed on designated tent sites and are not permitted to be set up on RV sites. One tent per tent site, no exception.

Vehicles & Parking

  • A maximum of 2 vehicles are permitted per site. Additional vehicles must be parked in designated visitor/overflow parking areas.
  • Vehicles, boats, or trailers parked at campsite may not encroach on any roadway or hinder a neighboring site’s ingress or egress.
  • Parking is not allowed on any empty campsite. Anyone found in violation will be assessed a penalty fee in an amount equal to a nightly campsite rental. Vehicles will also be towed at owner’s expense.

Campfires

  • Must be kept inside of designated fire rings.  Moving fire rings is strictly prohibited.
  • ALL fires must be extinguished before retiring for the night or before leaving your campsite.
  • All campfires must be extinguished by 12:30 AM.

Firewood

  • To prevent the spread of disease and parasites, we comply with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources regulations on firewood travel.  No firewood from outside a 10-mile radius is allowed into the park.  State and federal fines up to $1,000.00 apply for violations of firewood quarantines.
  • Firewood can be purchased at the Main Lodge for $7.50 per bundle.
  • The gathering of firewood by cutting trees or branches within the campground is strictly prohibited.

Music Volume

Please be courteous of your neighbors while playing music. Loud music that can be heard by neighboring sites is not permitted.

Golf Carts, UTVs & Recreational Vehicles

  • No UTVs permitted.
  • Non-licensed vehicles are not permitted in the campground.
  • Licensed motorbikes and motorcycles are permitted. Cruising throughout the property is strictly prohibited.

Swimming – Lake & Pool

  • SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK.  There is no lifeguard on duty.
  • NO DIVING.
  • Swimmers under the age of 14 must be supervised by an adult at all times.
  • Children in diapers must wear special swim diapers.
  • No glass containers or food permitted in the pool area.
  • Swimmer’s itch is possible when swimming in the lake.

Pets

  • Pets must be kept on a leash at all times and must not be left unattended. Owners of unleashed pets will be fined $50.00 per violation.
  • It is required that you pick up after your pets. Failure to pick up after your pet will result in a $50.00 fine per violation. Pet waste are conveniently located throughout the park.
  • Pets are not allowed in the pool area, on the beach, or in any buildings.
  • Aggressive dogs are not welcome in the campground. Owners may be asked to remove the pet from the campground at the discretion of management.
  • Barking must be controlled by pet owner. If a pet is found disruptive, owner(s) may be asked to remove the pet from the campground at the discretion of management.

Fireworks

No fireworks of any kind are allowed in the campground. Violators will removed from the campground immediately.

Bathhouses

Bathhouses are closed during routine cleanings. Alternate facilities must be used during this time. Cleaning times vary in frequency based on campground occupancy.

Trash & Recyclables

  • Recycling is mandated by state law. Rules can be found below for your convenience.
  • Trash and recyclables must be separated and placed in separate bags or containers.
  • Trash and recyclables must be placed by the road no later than 10:00 AM each day.
  • Trash and recyclables may not be placed by the road after 10:00 AM nor left by the road overnight.
  • All fish remains must be brought to the Fish Cleaning House for proper disposal.

Other Terms & Conditions

Please be respectful of other campers and guests so that everyone can have an enjoyable camping experience.  Management reserves the right to evict or refuse service to anyone who causes disturbance or refuses to abide by the campground rules. Law enforcement will be called to deal with drunken and disorderly conduct. Management assumes no responsibility for accidents or injuries. Campers and guests are strongly encouraged to take precautions to against the loss valuables by properly securing their belongings.

What CAN Be Recycled:

  • Paper Products: Envelopes, newspapers, magazines, milk, juice cartons, cereal boxes, beverage boxes, wrapping paper, empty paper towel and toilet paper rolls.
    • Large items must be broken down.
  • Plastic Containers: All plastic bottles and containers marked #1 – #2, beverage containers, water and juice bottles, detergent containers, and shampoo bottles.
    • All items must be rinsed cleaned prior to recycling. Please discard plastic lids and caps.
  • Glass: Brown, green, blue and clear glass bottles or jars.
    • All items must be rinsed cleaned prior to recycling. Please discard plastic lids and caps.
  • Metal: Aluminum cans and containers, steel cans, clean aluminum foil, empty aerosol cans, small metal appliances (i.e. toaster), small plumbing fixtures and pipes, and miscellaneous scrap metal no larger than 2 feet x 2 feet.

What CANNOT Be Recycled:

Windows, mirrors, light bulbs, ceramics, styrofoam, oil bottles, syringes, plastic bags, batteries, mirrors and large appliances (i.e. televisions, laptops or tablets).

NOTE: Furniture items will not be disposed of by the campground. If left for the campground to dispose of, the cost of disposal will be charged directly to the renter of the campsite, cottage or park model.

Waiver & Release Of Liability Agreement

NOTE: Gas is NOT included with rental and is a separate charge at current rate set by RER Indian Shores LLC.
This agreement is made and entered for the hire date and time selected by guest and between Indian Shores Campground, LLC, hereinafter called “OWNER” and guest hereinafter called “RENTER”.

OWNER agrees to rent the selected equipment solely to the RENTER that is at least 18 years old. A valid driver’s license will be needed on the day of the rental. RENTER promises to pay for all damages or loss of boat and/or motor and other related equipment.
RENTER shall not do any of the following while renting a fishing boat/wave runner/ski boat/pontoon/canoe:
  1. Carry passengers or property for hire.
  2. Carry passengers or property in excess of the rated capacity of the rented facility
  3. Use to tow or propel any other vessel including and not limited to canoes, wave runners etc.
  4. Use in any race or competition
  5. Use for an illegal purpose
  6. Operate boat/motor in a negligent manner
  7. Permit the boat/motor to be operated by any other person without permission of the owner (RER Indian Shores LLC)
  8. Remove motor from boat for any reason whatsoever.
  9. No towable to be used with boat rental
RENTER will agree to operate equipment in accordance with all the applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations and that the renter will reimburse owner for any fines, or penalties assessed against the owner for any violation committed by renter while operating this equipment

I. Disclaimer

This Waiver and Release is applicable to all renters, operators, passengers, and users of equipment provided by Lantern Resorts D/B/A Indian Shores Campground, LLC. (For purposes of this Waiver and Release, the term “Rental Company” includes all employees, agents, representatives, servants, assigns, successors, insurers and subsidiaries of Lantern Resorts D/B/A Indian Shores Campground, LLC. The undersigned agrees that he/she is also signing this Release on behalf of undersigned’s minor children. Renter agrees that he/she will disclose to Rental Company all potential operators, passengers, and users of said rental equipment. Renter further agrees that in the event that he/she fails to notify Rental Company of all potential operators, passengers, or users of said equipment, he/she will be personally liable for any damages to the undisclosed individuals, even if such damages arise out of the negligence of Rental Company.

II. Express Assumption Of Risk

The undersigned hereby agrees that he/she is renting, operating or using the equipment provided by Rental Company at his/her own risk. The undersigned agrees that he/she is voluntarily participating in all activities related to the rental, operation, or use of the rental equipment, and assumes all risk of injury, illness, damage or loss that might result, even if the risks arise out of the negligence of Rental Company.

III. Waiver/Release Of Liability

By the execution of this Release, the undersigned agrees that Rental Company shall not be liable for any damages arising from personal injuries and/or property loss sustained by the undersigned or any minor children under the undersigned’s custody, care, and control, as a result of any and all activities related to the rental, operation, or use of equipment provided by Rental Company, including but not limited to drowning and other related injuries, collisions with other water craft or stationary objects, physical contact/collisions with the rental equipment itself or the wake created by the same, and injuries or damages stemming from mechanical, design or equipment related failures. The undersigned assumes full responsibility for any such injuries or damages which may occur, and further agrees that Rental Company shall not be liable for any loss or theft of personal property. The undersigned specifically agrees that Rental Company shall not be responsible for any such injuries, damages, loss or theft, EVEN IN THE EVENT OF NEGLIGENCE BY RENTAL COMPANY, whether such negligence is present at the signing of this Release or takes place in the future. This Waiver and Release does not apply to gross negligence or intentional torts by Rental Company.

IV. Liability To Third Parties

The undersigned hereby agrees that he/she will indemnify and hold harmless Rental Company for all personal injuries, property damages, or any other damages to any and all third parties, including, but not limited to, operators and passengers of other watercraft and minor children under the undersigned’s custody, care, and control, as a result of any and all activities related to the rental, operation, or use of equipment provided by Rental Company, even if such damages arise out of the negligence of Rental Company.

V. Acknowledgment Of Waiver And Release

The undersigned states that he/she has had sufficient time to review the Waiver and Release and to ask any questions associated with said Release. The undersigned further states that he/she has carefully read the foregoing Waiver and Release, knows the contents thereof, and has signed this Release as his/her own free act. The undersigned also understands that he/she has an opportunity to bargain for different waiver of liability terms and voluntarily waives his/her right to do so. By executing this document, the undersigned warrants that he/she is fully aware that he/she is waiving any right he/she may have to bring a legal action to assert a claim against Rental Company for Rental Company’s negligence.

VI. Severability

The undersigned hereby agrees that in the event any term or any part of any term of this Agreement is determined to be void or unenforceable, such term or part of a term shall be considered separate and severable from this Agreement and the remaining terms shall continue in full force and effect.

Person born after January 1, 1989 is required to have completed the safety course requirement.

Additional Charges/Fees

$90.00 per hour will be charged for boats returned that need excessive cleaning.

Late Returns of ski boat, pontoons and wave runners will be charged at $200.00 per hour/$50 per 15 minutes.

Damages and/or replacement cost for missing equipment is non-negotiable and will automatically be charged to the credit card on file.

The following are replacement cost (tax not included):

  • Damaged prop – $275.00 and up
  • Missing Life Vest – $25.00 per life vest
  • Rope – $25.00
  • Missing/Broken Keys – $25.00 per key
  • Throwable – $25.00
  • Buoys – $45.00 per buoy
  • Anchor – $90.00
By accepting/signing this agreement, the RENTER represents he/she is at least 18 years old and RENTER promises to pay for all damages or loss of boat and/or motor and other related equipment included in this agreement.

Deposit Rules

50% of the total reservation amount is due at time of booking.  The remainder of payment is due in full upon check-in.

Please Note: Checks are not accepted for deposits.

Reservations

Campsites

  • 2 night minimum requirement
  • 3 night minimum requirement for holiday weekends including: Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day

Park Models

  • 2 night minimum requirement during Spring and Fall
  • By the week only during Summer

Cottages

  • 2 night minimum during Spring and Fall
  • By the week only during Summer

Camper Rentals

  • 2 night minimum requirement
  • 3 night minimum requirement for holiday weekends including: Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day

Rebooking Sites

  • Reservations for next year will only be taken SUNDAY thru FRIDAY during your stay. Priority site request consideration given for same site for the same time period for the following year provided the reservation is made and DEPOSIT PAID prior to departure.

Please Note: Must be at least 21 years old to make a reservation.

Cancellations

  • Cancellations occurring within 7 days prior to the start of the reservation will result in a full forfeiture of deposit.
  • Full deposit can be transferred to a future reservation made with the same year only.
  • Not applicable for cancellations occurring with 7 days prior to the start of a reservation.

Refunds

  • No refunds or reservations transfers will be issued for holiday weekend cancellations.
  • Holiday weekends include: Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Labor Day (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday).
  • Deposit refunds will not be issued in the form of in-house store or restaurant credit.
  • No refunds will be issued due to weather. The fun continues rain or shine!
